1st offical post, 1st makeover and news to share

welcome to my first official post of "all lowercase thrift". thanks for looking. i call it "all lowercase thrift" because i am a lazy typer and i love thrifting. i want to share with you all my great thrifting adventures-what i buy and how i repurpose it. i love to go thrift shopping for many reasons-you never know what you will find-it saves us money and i love vintage things. please bear with me as i learn to do this "blog thing". i am not a writer-that is my hubby's job- and i don't know how to use commas properly so i use dashes. :) now on to the fun stuff.

my first makeover/redo i want to show you is my craft room. i have been planning this room in my head for many years and it finally came true last summer- thanks to my family and especially my wonderful husband- todd. we obtained some vintage 1950's metal cabinets (from my awesome father-in-law-thanks leon) and went from there. all but paint and material to recover the furniture was thrifted. we wanted a retro vintage feel so we went with avocado green and harvest gold and threw in some "panera" brown- at least that is what the paint guy at lowes titled it when we brought in our coffee cup from panera's and asked him to recreate that color. all the furniture was recovered by my incredible dad who has had an upholstery business for over 30 years. thanks dad. the room is part tv/wii hangout area, part craft/sewing/rubber stamping area and school area (i home school our youngest- did all 3 kids up until last year). i could go on and on about the room but i wont- if you have any questions please ask. thanks for stopping by and looking. there could be lots more photos but this is even good that i figured out how to put in photos. :)

now on to other exciting news. i am now an official consultant to NYR- or neal's yard remedies. it is the first and only "certified" organic skin care product in the us. many skin care products say organic but this line is certified. it is fairly new in the us, but has been around in the uk for almost 30 years now. they are just now getting into the us and many people are finding out about it and loving it. the prices are very reasonable compared to most skin care products. go to https://us.nyrorganic.com/shop/AdriannHumphrey to check it out. let me know what you think and if you want to buy any- there is a 90 day money back guaurantee or you can host a party. and if you are looking to make some money, now is a GREAT (ok i do use caps when i am excited about something) time to get in on the ground level of this company. enjoy looking.
